Systems Architecture Consulting
Every good architecture starts with a survey done on the ground, not in a sales slide. ACUITY walks the campus, the clinic, the warehouse or the design wing and maps what is actually installed, who relies on it, and what the quiet failure points are. Servers, edge network devices, cloud tenants, physical cabling and the people who run the whole thing are all written onto a shared record sheet.
From that sheet we draw the target architecture: a system that matches the size of the organisation and the skills already on staff. Nothing is oversized, nothing is assumed. The deliverable is a legible diagram set plus a written narrative any stakeholder can read, so a board member and a senior engineer both leave the same room agreeing on the same plan. Sizing, change handling and future room to grow are all costed into the recommendation.

A managed IT programme is more than a support ticket queue; it is a standing promise that the everyday machinery keeps working on a set rhythm. ACUITY takes on the recurring load that would otherwise eat a regional office: monitoring of servers and backups, scheduled patching, password and account hygiene, end user support when the printer or the signing platform stops talking, and a monthly written record of what happened and what is next.
The programmes are sized to the organization. A two chair dental clinic, a fabrication shop with a single floor, and a multi branch regional office each carry different exposure, and we do not bill them the same. We agree a coverage level, price it plainly, and keep a simple response window that we have kept above ninety eight percent across our run of active programmes.

Network and Infrastructure Design
Clean structured cabling is the skeleton of every reliable network, and it has to be drawn before anyone pulls copper. We design cabling paths, switch tiers, wireless coverage and the physical racks that hold servers and patch panels. New offices, warehouse wings, clinic additions and studio floors all get a plan marked end to end, so growth does not mean a desperate rewiring panic.
Separate traffic streams share a building but not a collapse: clinical data, office records, guest wireless and the building control bus all stay partitioned in the design so a broken guest session never drags down a medical record flow. We know regional code and installation practice for the state corridor from Salt Lake to the Arizona line, which makes handover to a licensed cabler clean.
The outcome is a network that runs without drama and a map the operations team can actually read. We hand over labelled port schedules, a live floor diagram and a simple troubleshooting ladder, plus the as built record that too many installations never bother to leave behind.

Cybersecurity Assessments
A security review from ACUITY is not a fear workshop; it is a disciplined walk around the walls to find the doors that stand open. We check who holds keys and admin rights, how backups would hold up on a bad day, how email enters the building, whether a lost laptop would leak a whole client file, and what happens the moment the internet vanishes. Every check is written in plain terms, not threat theatre.
Findings come back as a numbered register of controls ordered by urgency, each with a written explanation of why it matters and a costed way to close it. Priorities are set for a regional budget, not for a corporate security division with unlimited spend. The urgent fixes come first; the nice to haves are parked with a date, and nothing is sold under duress.
Because regional health clinics, law firms and accounting practices hold records governed by strict rules, our assessments pay close attention to the data protection duty the organization already carries. The records most organisations would regret losing are rarely in the database the vendor sold them; they hide in a shared drive, an old workstation or a calendar invite. Data platform engineering at ACUITY begins by finding every home a record truly lives in, then designing a single platform where files, logs and internal reports resolve cleanly.
We work out where documents belong, how backups behave during the day and at night, which internal reports genuinely matter, and how separate systems hand records to one another at the edges. Where years of history are already sitting in messy spreadsheets or one named employee folder, we reorganise the platform so it can answer a question the same day instead of hiding the answer.
The result is a data foundation that supports the organisation when it grows. Retention policies are written so old records are neither lost by accident nor kept forever out of fear, and access is recorded so a future audit finds the ownership trail. Regional firms hire us to make their own data answer questions instead of guessing about it.

A roadmap turns a wish for better tools into dated and costed steps. We sit with the leadership team, listen to the three year horizon, and draw the path from the systems they have to the systems they want, marking refresh dates, likely hires, regulatory milestones and the moments when one move unlocks the next.
Costs are shown beside each step so a growing practice never buys the shiny platform that later demands a support bill no one priced. Dependencies are visible, so a manager can see that a backup overhaul must land before a cloud migration, and a switch refresh should wait until the office move. Trade offs and option closes are explicit, not implied.
The roadmap is a living document that is revisited on a regular cadence rather than a binder that collects desert dust. When the organisation reaches for it at its planning meeting, the notes still match where it stands. That is how ACUITY keeps a regional organisation moving without letting technology outrun the plan.
